PHYSICIANS

Dr. Watkins’ post-graduate training was in general surgery at Wayne State University. He received awards for his clinical care and served as the Administrative Chief Resident in 2014 – 2015. He also completed a research fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital focused on intestinal injury. He published multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts and spoke at numerous regional and national meetings. He received multiple awards for his research accomplishments.

Dr. Watkins is board certified in general surgery and board certified in pediatric surgery. Most recently, Dr. Watkins completed his training in pediatric surgery at the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana Health, serving as Chief Resident from 2016 – 2017
